Abstract Art
These images come to life intuitively in dialogue with my feelings and thoughts.
USPS Collaboration 2 - Not For Sale
Watercolor and PVC Glue on Paper, 6"x9" Collaboration via snail mail with my artist friend @seanus1774 for the @uspsartproject . The USPS project stretches me in new ways each time. When I received Sean's lovely, delicate watercolor with a resist drawing of a figure, I felt reluctant to add anything as my emotions were stretched by current events. Then it dawned on me that the figure drawing was the crack thru which light poured out. Our collective cells breaking apart and fusing so we can see the same light shining thru us all. So we stand together. Even the tragic story about the senseless killing of a pregnant elephant in Kerala made its way into this image. She too is a part of us. |
USPS Collaboration 1 - Not for Sale
Collage with Ink and Watercolor on Paper, 6"x9" Collaboration via snail mail with my artist friend @eileenferarastudio for the @uspsartproject . What a lovely exchange for so many artists! A friend commented that my image felt like a boat caught in a storm - an allegory to the current situation - mankind devastated by a pandemic. That idea may have permeated subconsciously, yet I wonder if the human figure is harnessing new ways of being, even as the storm rages... |
Coming Together
Watercolor Original Available Sometimes I play with color and shapes emerge and dissolve. |
Creeping Acquisitions
Watercolor and Pencil Original Available I had a title picked out but my sister @veena.agnihotri.75 had the perfect one ‘Creeping Acquisitions’. Certainly looks like a gathering of a storm full of things. |
Foxy Eyes
Ink Pillows Available Goofing around with ancient inks, still vibrant and luminous, that I bought as an art student. And happened to see some eyes and swirls in the play. |
Shadow Evening
Digital Prints Available Sometimes the dark charcoal markings bring forth brooding plays in my mind. |
Exploration Swirls
Digital Prints Available Sometimes while playing on my digital art apps, I happen upon the perfect tool/brush that expresses something I have felt like exploring. Soft curves and lines that fade and re-emerge from a foggy ether. Like the energy of strands of thoughts. |
Beach Vortex
Digital Prints Available A beach scene: large ball of clams and mussels trapped in a seaweed vortex. |
